Abdullah Al-Yunusi of MPR instructed to act for Rafidain Bank in Iraq

MPR’s senior partner Abdullah Al-Yunusi who is a barrister with over 20 years’ experience in defending serious litigation, has been instructed by the Iraqi State owned Rafidain Bank in complex litigation at the High Court.

Abdullah is acting for the defendant Bank which is the largest bank in Iraq founded in 1941 with 165 branches inside Iraq and with branches in Cairo, Beirut, Abu Dhabi. Before the First Gulf War, Rafidain Bank was the Arab world’s largest commercial bank with total assets of USD 47 billion.

MPR solicitors have also been invited to attend and participate at the Iraq Conference for Trade and Investment (ICTI) to be held next month in London.

The conference’s aim is to facilitate face-to-face discussions with key decision makers, Iraqi ministers and delegations ready to share their vision and the opportunities that exist in the Iraq market across all the major sectors.
