- R v F & ors: £200 million MTIC fraud & money laundering – Operation Devout
- R v Zamlon Ltd: Offences under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. An investment fraud deceiving over 200 investors in buy to let property schemes and subsequent mortgage frauds. We successfully represented one of the Company Directors whose case was dismissed half-way through the trial after legal argument by the defence team that there was insufficient evidence to convict. - R v K & ors: Series of cases involving VAT fraud (£150 million) & largest corruption case to date involving HMRC officers. A protected jury case. Operation Bradford; Operation Mamba The case consisted of three trials with a protected jury on each occasion. The case made the headlines when the jury was compromised as a result of a juror having an affair with her protection officer and the police protocols on jury protection were overhauled. We were able to secure favourable deals with the Crown following the collapse of the third trial at the Old Bailey.

- R v S & ors Central Criminal Court 2002 Defendant charged with conspiracy to murder whilst already on Court bail for another murder. MPR Solicitors successfully applied for bail on the double murder and our pro-active defence and legal submissions to the Central Criminal Court on points of Identification led to the case being dismissed and our client walking free from Court.
- R v B and ors Central Criminal Court 2002 Defendant charged with conspiracy to murder along with 4 others. We were able to establish at an early stage in the proceedings that the Crown Prosecution Service had a weak case and the matter never reached trial having been dismissed prior to the Plea and Case Management hearing in the Crown Court.
- R v W & ors Central Criminal Court 2005 Defendant charged with murder with 5 others. Described as a gangland murder, this was a particularly high profile case which collapsed after three days into the trial. The Crown Prosecution had attempted to introduce fresh evidence on the first day of the trial which was successfully argued out by the defence team from MPR Solicitors. - R v D & ors Central Criminal Court 2004 Defendant charged with murder and arson with 4 others. Complex legal argument and forensic issues.
- R v I & ors Middlesex Guildhall Crown Court 2004 Defendant was a 16 year old youth charged with murder with 6 others. The case involved a stabbing to death of an old lady in West London. The Defendant pleaded not guilty and following a trial was acquitted of murder but was found guilty of ABH (actual bodily harm).
- 2004 R v B Our client was a local man from Staines who was arrested on suspicion of the murder of Jonathon Hancock in Southsea in Hampshire. At first glance the police evidence seemed compelling and revolved around alibi and identification. We were able to highlight weaknesses in the police case at the investigation stage and this ultimately led to the police dropping all charges against our client. The case became a landmark case in the admissibility of facial mapping evidence and due to the relentless efforts of the MPR defence team, our client was never charged. - R v T & ors: Largest Drugs conspiracy seizure by the Metropolitan Police involving 6 month police surveillance, large-scale importation and supply of over £100 million pounds worth of cocaine and money laundering – Operation Eaglewood. The case involved the use of covert surveillance, covert recordings and wiretap evidence obtained from foreign jurisdictions. Our client was the only Defendant to receive a suspended sentence in this large-scale conspiracy compared to other Defendants who received sentences varying from 10 years to 22 years. - R v G & ors: Largest importation of cocaine and drugs conspiracy to produce and supply on the South Coast. Hove Crown Court Our client was the only Defendant to be acquitted of the conspiracy to import class A drugs into the UK amongst all the Defendants charged with the same and other offences within this conspiracy. - R v B & ors: One of the largest human smuggling investigations in the UK, involving corrupt officials at Heathrow Airport and Virgin Atlantic Airways – Operation Outreach
- R v S & ors: This case was being prosecuted by the Special Casework Directorate of the CPS on behalf of the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) and involved months of covert surveillance, probes in vehicles and evidence from foreign jurisdictions. The case was one of the largest human trafficking cases into the EU and subsequent bonded labour.
