Allen is an experienced solicitor-advocate and specialises in trial advocacy in the Crown Courts. He has wide experience in all aspects of defending serious and general crime including violent assaults (GBH), drugs conspiracies, fraud and rape cases. He regularly appears in the Crown Courts in London and the South East. Allen has an impressive success ratio securing acquittals in a number of the cases he has conducted as trial advocate.

Most recently, Allen was instructed to act as advocate for one of the Defendants in Operation Eaglewood: the Metropolitan Police’s  largest drugs seizure case involving over £100 million of cocaine and moneylaundering prosecuted by the Special Casework Directorate of the CPS. Allen was also the advocate in the MPR defence team who represented JGB, the US Air Marshall successfully acquitted of rape at the Central Criminal Court.

Allen qualified as a solicitor in 1999 and has always specialised in criminal defence. Prior to joining MPR Solicitors in 2005, Allen worked for a niche firm in Exeter conducting criminal litigation where he also gained a wealth of experience representing Armed Forces Personnel.


Personal Background

Allen’s hobbies include watching Brentford FC, cricket and rugby league. He completed the London Marathon in 2003 and is married with two young children.
